Making a cocktail hat part 2… cutting to shape.

The 20/20 has dried and is firm it is time to cut the cocktail hat to shape.Step 1: Take the shape of the block and cut of rough edges. DSC01107 Step 2: Mark the shape. Some points to note:

  • You may wish to mark the shape into quarters – centre front to centre back and side to side.
  • The elastic may be used to assist in marking a straight line around the block.
  • If the design is not easy to mark freehand, use paper to draw the pattern first and transfer to 20/20. Keep the paper pattern to assist with the lining for the shape.
  • Can create a small shape or a large one.
  • There may be enough room for more than one cocktail shape from the mould.
